Perodua hit a major milestone in 2024 with its best-ever production and sales numbers. The second national carmaker sold 358,102 cars in 2024, which is an 8.3% jump from its previous record of 330,325 cars sold in 2023.

On the production side, Perodua built 368,100 cars in 2024, its highest production level in 30 years. This beats its previous record of 343,400 cars produced in 2023 by 7.2%.



In the last quarter of 2024 (October to December), Perodua registered 97,741 vehicles, slightly up by 0.7% compared to 97,098 vehicles in the same period in 2023. For December alone, the company sold 32,202 cars, a 3.2% increase from the 31,210 sold in December 2023.

The top three best-selling cars for Perodua in 2024 were the Perodua Bezza, Axia and Myvi. These models continued to dominate the Malaysian automotive market, with the Myvi maintaining its reputation as the "King of the Road" due to its practicality and affordability. The newly launched Axia also contributed significantly to sales, appealing to budget-conscious buyers, while the Bezza remained a popular choice for those seeking a reliable and fuel-efficient sedan.



These achievements mark a significant milestone for Perodua, showcasing its ability to consistently meet market demand and solidify its position as Malaysia's leading carmaker. With record-breaking sales, robust production numbers, and strong demand for its top models like the Myvi, Axia, and Bezza, Perodua is well-poised to continue driving the nation’s automotive industry forward in the coming years.
